Josefin Garage goes to the SEMA show

The reason why we started this activity is to establish the brand Josefin Garage as a reference point in the Tuning sector. Therefore, our philosophy implies to always improve and to interpret new incoming trends, before they become “common knowledge” to the public. Pursuing this direction, the comparison with other realities in the industry is not only inevitable, but necessary. For this reason we decided to dedicate a short page of this blog to our new adventure that, in November 2019, led us to cross the ocean and visit what is perhaps the global appointment of tuning: the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. 

In the middle of the desert arises the “fun-park city” par excellence and symbol of excesses: casinos, hotels that stand out against the sky and that have the most varied forms and themes, until you get to the extravagant people who walk the street. So, there is no better location that could host this appointment for Tuning, which is appreciated and not so hardly condemned by to many quibbles and bureaucratic obstacles to overcome as in Italy. 

Surely from this point of view the Americans have understood the potential of having a strong industry, working together with manufacturers, providing parts always better in quality and safety for end users. Since 1963, in fact, the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) has found its place as an Aftermarket trade fair, but over time the same OEM manufacturers, dealers, media and much more have also been added, up to more than 6,300 exhibitors from all over the world. 

Perhaps the most outstanding thing of all is that the fair is not open to the public. These exceptional numbers are even more extraordinary when you think that the entrance is reserved only for people related to the industry as company and so on. It is also true that, thanks to social media, the promotion of the event takes place thanks to the numerous youtubers, journalists,  vloggers who contribute to increase the fame of this annual appointment through millions of “digital” spectators. 

Many American “garages”, which have become known with the more or less popular and questionable recent TV series, meet at this event to unveil their latest “custom” creations. Precisely, because this fair has no equal in the world, here you can admire the different styles and interpretations of tuning made on classic cars and evergreen, until the most recent automobile. 

As Josefin Garage, we believe this type of healthy competition is fundamental. After the first official meeting of the Josefin Garage group with some of our customers during the Wörthersee 2019 in Austria, we wanted to be present at this globally-known event. 

Our activity is growing fast and we always have new customers, most of them outside Italy, who contact us for our seriousness and experience in the work we do. 

We believe it is essential, to underline the professionalism and style that distinguish us, to come in contact with the new trends proposed by the sector. This means becoming aware of the new products available and the new methods of using new materials, as well as new innovative solutions, to ensure our customers greater quality and performance from components, whether mechanicals, structural or aesthetics. 

We had the opportunity to meet and discuss with experts in the field and many “guru” of this sector. The classic “American” atmosphere is really relax and those people find the time to discuss and reply to many questions, because they are driven by our same passion. This approach helps to create a healthy and motivating environment. 

As an Italian company, we were pleased to have been welcomed by colleagues from other countries, especially from America and Japan, with a lot of warmth and interest in the work we do, even on cars that are not always popular overseas. At the same time, we were able to exchange views on engines and new styles of cars not in great demand in our country. This last step, very important, allows us to work with experienced partners even on those cars not very popular in Italy. In fact, those owners often struggle to find companies prepared with such a technical background to be able to work seriously on this type of cars.

In short, this was an exceptional event and a fantastic first experience. We like to improve and always raise the level of our Tuning. For this reason we are sure that this is only the first step towards a great internationalization of our brand. We are waiting for you to discuss together your new tuning project!
